Banbridge: Man arrested after car park shooting released

A 34-year-old man who was arrested by detectives investigating an attempted murder in Banbridge has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

The man had presented himself to police earlier on Monday and was questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

A 40-year-old man was shot in a car park on the Rathfriland Road at about 20:00 BST on 12 April.

He remains in a critical but stable condition, police have said.
