Jill Duggar Dillard has revealed she and her husband, Derick, have laid their child to rest.

On April 23, Jill returned to Instagram days after making the heartbreaking announcement that their daughter, Isla Marie, was stillborn. She shared photos taken from Isla’s funeral.

Ten days ago, on April 13, Jill and Derick shared that Jill was pregnant with a baby girl, due in August 2024. Heartbreakingly, Isla was stillborn at four months.

“From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby. Isla was much loved from the start, and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world,” the mom wrote on Instagram.

Jill continued, saying she and Derick “appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and heal from the loss of our little Isla Marie.”

“Isla Marie, our baby girl. We will love you forever & hold you in our hearts until we hold you in heaven,” she wrote. “Laid to rest 4.19.2024.”

The program, shared at her funeral, revealed the meaning behind Isla’s name, which stands for “devoted to God,” while Marie stands for “wished for child and beloved.”

Alongside their initial joint statement, Jill shared a photo of herself and Derick leaning on each other looking down at a tiny pink knitted hat.

Their followers again shared prayers and expressed their sorrows in the comments section.

“I’m so sorry, my first daughter was born still at full term 27 years ago. The smallest caskets are the heaviest,” one commenter wrote.

“Holding you closely in my thoughts and prayers. What a beautiful and meaningful way to honor Isla,” another added.
