New Farnley: Murder charge after Leeds pub assault death

A man has been charged with murder after a person died following a "serious assault" at a pub in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said Nathaniel Philip, 35, of no fixed abode, was charged following the incident on Butterbowl Drive, New Farnley.

A spokesperson said the victim had died following the incident in the early hours of Sunday, believed to have taken place at The Butterbowl pub.

Mr Philip is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
