Four men not guilty over Frome coach crash

Four coach firm employees charged in connection with a crash in which a number of students were injured have been found not guilty.

The coach overturned on the B3090 Oldford Hill, near Frome, in Somerset, on 28 November 2022.

Christopher Giles, 34, of Trowbridge, Wiltshire and Justin Spiller, 40, Kristian Spiller, 39, and Alan Spiller, 67, all from Peasedown St John in Somerset, were cleared of violating the Road Traffic Act at Taunton Magistrates' Court on 16 April.

The men worked for Arleen's Coaches which has been approached for comment.

The four employees were charged with the single offence around the alleged use of a motor vehicle in a condition likely to cause injury.

A number of Frome College pupils were taken to hospital for treatment following the crash.

Frome College have declined to comment on the conclusion of the investigation.
