A gun and an electric motorbike have been seized by officers investigating a fatal shooting in Dublin, gardaí (Irish police) have said.

The victim was 20-year-old Josh Itseli, who had addresses in Dublin and Meath, according to Irish broadcaster RTÉ.

The shooting happened on the Knocknarea Road in Drimnagh at about 00:15 local time on Monday.

A firearm, understood to be a military-grade AR-15 assault rifle, was later recovered from a hedge close to the scene.

What gardaí described as a "potential explosive device", understood to be a suspected pipe bomb, was also discovered in nearby Knocknarea Court and removed by the Irish Army's explosive ordnance disposal team.

Gardaí continue to question three young men - two in their 20s and one a teenager - who were arrested as part of the investigation.
