Miami Beach police investigating after woman beaten to death near Miami City Ballet: sources
Miami Beach police are investigating after sources say a woman was found beaten to death Tuesday morning near the Miami City Ballet building.
The body was discovered on 22nd Street and Liberty Avenue, according to Officer Christopher Bess, a police department spokesman.
“The investigation is in its preliminary stages, and our team is working to gather all relevant information,” Bess said in an email.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to the Herald that the woman was fatally beaten.
In a statement, Miami City Ballet said it “is cooperating with the authorities investigating the tragic incident that occurred in the area outside our building early this morning.”
