Man in hospital after suspected stabbing
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested following a suspected stabbing in a city centre.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries following the incident on London Road, in Gloucester, on Thursday.
He was taken to Southmead hospital in Bristol to receive treatment.
Police cordoned off Alvin Street and a shop at its junction with London Road at 14:35 BST on Thursday in connection with the incident.
Gloucestershire Constabulary say a cordon will remain in place there while inquiries continue.
They are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them with information, via the force's website.
