People urged to register interest in draft area plan
People with an interest in proposals for future development land in the north and west of the Isle of Man have been urged to register to speak at a public inquiry.
The Draft Area Plan for the north and west was first published in June 2022, but a number of revisions to it were made public last month.
The deadline for registering to take part in the inquiry, which will be led by an independent planning inspector, is 10 May.
While discussions in July will be open to everyone, only those who have pre-registered an interest will be able to present written or oral representations or objections.
The proposals include provision for the development of several open spaces into residential and employment projects in Ramsey, Glen Mona, Andreas, Jurby, Bride, Kirk Michael, St John's, Foxdale, and Peel.
The inquiry is set to take place over two four-day sessions - the first at the Masonic Hall in Ramsey from 16 to 19 July, and the second at QEII High School in between 23 and 26 July.
The sessions are due to be held in the form of round table discussions each day.
The proposals cover areas in and around both towns, and outline potential development sites for housing and other infrastructure.
Those who do register will have until 21 June to submit their representations.
