Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted at a skate park in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called to Southgate Skate Park in Crawley at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday.

Two girls, aged 15, and a 13-year-old girl – all from Crawley – were arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail, pending further enquiries.

“Police are aware of a video which is being shared on social media,” Sussex Police said.

The 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Sussex Police said an investigation had been launched and asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the force.

“Anyone who has video footage of the incident is asked to not share it on social media, and to share it with police,” it added.
