Police warning ahead of 'possible' Cornwall beach party
Police have issued a warning to schools ahead of an event "possibly" taking place in Cornwall on Saturday.
Devon and Corwnall Police said it was believed about 200 young people were planning to attend a beach party in Hayle.
Officers said it was believed "a number of young people" would travel by train and go to the Asda in Hayle to "acquire alcohol".
The police force has identified the railway "station, Asda, the beach and the Royal Standard pub nearby" as potential flashpoints for illegal behaviour.
"We are aware of information about a possible event in Hayle over the weekend," said police.
"It has been put on the online group ‘Trenches/Trenchers’ and a large number of young people are thought to be attending," a police spokesman said.
