Polls open in Kent for local and PCC elections

Residents of two Kent towns are now eligible to cast ballots in the local elections, with 88 seats across two councils up for re-election.

Polling stations are open between 07:00 and 22:00 BST on Thursday for the local elections in Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone, with the count taking place throughout the day on Friday.

Voters across Kent will also be electing the county's police and crime commissioner.

Anyone planning to vote in person at a polling station must bring an approved form of photo ID.
