Three charged after car park stabbing
Three people have been charged after a man sustained serious stab wounds.
Suffolk Police was called at 17:53 BST on Wednesday 10 April to a car park at Market Square, The Rookery in Newmarket.
A man in his 20s had been approached by a group and stabbed.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A 21-year-old, a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old have now been charged, while two others have been arrested.
A 21-year-old, from Newmarket, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to a separate incident on 8 April.
A 19-year-old, also from Newmarket, was charged with wounding with intent and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, related to a separate incident that took place on 8 April.
And an 18-year-old from Newmarket was charged with using threatening words or behaviour to cause alarm or distress on 10 April.
She was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to an incident on 8 April.
Two others have also been arrested in connection with the incident.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested in Haverhill on 10 April on suspicion of assisting offenders and later bailed.
A 14-year-old boy was also arrested on 11 April on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. He was questioned and then bailed.
