Three suspects in stolen vehicle try evading police in Los Angeles County

Three suspects in a stolen Honda were taken into custody after the driver tried to flee from officers in Long Beach Monday night.

The events began around 11 p.m. when officers spotted the stolen vehicle and tried to conduct a traffic stop in the area of East 15th Street and Locust Avenue.

The driver of the stolen vehicle, which was occupied by three males, did not stop and a pursuit ensued until the Honda crashed into another vehicle near Long Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway.

An unidentified victim in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to authorities.

Two suspects were taken into custody shortly after the pursuit but the third suspect managed to elude officers.

A SWAT team was called in to help search for the suspect, who was taken into custody after nearly four hours.

Police said they recovered two firearms in the Honda.

No officers were injured in the incident.
