Landslip causes train disruption

A train station

A landslip has caused disruption for morning rail travellers.

Fewer trains are able to run between London Paddington and Reading due to the incident at Sonning Cutting, linking Twyford and Reading, Great Western Railway (GWR) said.

The operator said services running to and from the stations would be delayed or cancelled, with disruption expected until the end of the day.

The Elizabeth Line is accepting passengers via "any reasonable route", GWR added.

Trains across the country are also being affected by a walkout by Aslef train drivers.

Passengers have been urged to check their journeys before travelling.
