Banbridge: Man arrested over car park shooting released
A 39-year-old man arrested in connection with a shooting in Banbridge, County Down, has been released on bail.
Police said a man in his 40s was shot in the abdomen by a masked man in a car park on the Rathfriland Road.
The 39-year-old was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and released on Thursday, pending further police enquiries.
The man's arrest came after searches in Mullaghbawn and Banbridge.
Police said a number of items were recovered and taken away for further examination.
A 46-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy of murder. He was later released on bail.
