Britain's Got Talent choir 'overwhelmed' by reaction
A Northamptonshire choir said it was "overwhelmed" by "amazing feedback" from its appearance on an ITV talent show.
Northants Sings Out performed on Britain's Got Talent and received glowing reviews as they reached the next round.
During the audition, the choir performed an energetic rendition of Show Me Love by Robin S.
Judge Amanda Holden said she thought the group were "better than any choir" to have previously appeared on the show, which first aired in 2007.
Writing on its Facebook page, Northants Sings Out, said "words could not express" how "humbled" it felt by the reaction it received.
It said: "From press to influencers; schools to churches... the outpouring of love has been mind blowing.
"We embarked on Britain's Got Talent solely to impact people. We wanted to showcase community voices! Real people from real backgrounds.
"You’ve made some very wholesome, kind, down to earth people super happy. Thank you."
Northants Sings Out's members are aged 25 to 65 and their performance was also described as "sensational" by judge Bruno Tonioli.
Ahead of the audition, which aired on Saturday, the group's conductor Gareth Fuller, said it would "be a dream" for them to be the first choir to win Britain's Got Talent.
The winner of the 17th series will win a £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
