Two men seriously injured in crash

Two drivers have been taken to hospital by air ambulance following a crash in Purton, near Swindon.

Emergency services were called to Pavenhill just before 15:00BST on Monday to a collision between a Volkswagen Phaeton and a Honda Jazz.

Both men were seriously injured and one of them has a significant head injury. Their next of kin have been informed, police said.

Officers are asking for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.

The driver of the Volkswagen - a man in his 30s from Swindon - received a serious injury to his head and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

The driver of the Honda – a man in his 40s from Purton – was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with multiple serious injuries.
